Powerful Presentations Have a Purpose

Powerful Presenter

Engage, Inform, and Entertain Your Audience

The purpose of your presentation is to inform, engage, and entertain your audience. This is true whether your presentation is for business clients, as a keynote speaker, or for a TED Talk. An additional purpose may be to persuade your audience to take action.

In this short (5 minute) presentation, Sebastian informs the TED audience about TED Talk presentation statistics. He engages the audience with some keys to a great TED Talk and entertains the audience with fun facts and slides to emphasize his points.

Know your purpose and match the purpose to the audience. Giving a talk about keys to good and poor TED Talks to an audience at a TED event does a great job of matching the purpose to the audience.
