Dr. Eva Fisher is an internationally renowned mental health coach, peer support group facilitator, and online course creator. She is also a dedicated college instructor who specializes in teaching effective communication skills to adults so they can achieve their career and academic goals.
Dr. Eva offers personalized coaching and support to individuals suffering from body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and social anxiety. Her BDD recovery story has inspired people around the world to seek effective treatment and get the help they need to recover.
She is a member of the International OCD Foundation BDD Special Interest Group and has authored multiple articles about coping with and recovery from body dysmorphic disorder. Dr. Eva has also been a guest speaker on podcasts and radio talk shows in the United States and the United Kingdom.

College Communication Instructor and Researcher
Dr. Eva Fisher is a Communication adjunct faculty member at Front Range Community College and has taught communication classes at CSU Global. She received her Ph.D. in Public Communication and Technology from Colorado State University in 2016, specializing in online health communication.
Dr. Eva’s dissertation research focused on how people communicate online to share their mental health struggles. She studied the personal disclosures and social support shared in an online BDD forum for her dissertation: “Am I Ugly or Do I Have BDD?”: Personal Disclosure and Social Support on a Body Dysmorphic Disorder Online Forum. Her book, The BDD Family, contains messages from hundreds of forum members about their struggles with body dysmorphic disorder.
Dr. Eva’s teaching experience includes more than 15 years as a college instructor, teaching both online and on-ground classes in Public Speaking, English, Professional Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Intercultural Communication, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Social Media, and Conflict Communication. Her passion is teaching college students effective communication and presentation skills so they achieve their career, academic, and professional goals.
