Body Dysmorphic Disorder Coaching

Yes, you CAN cope with and overcome your personal BDD bully and body dysmorphia! You do not have to struggle alone.

Learn how to battle the shame, depression, and anxiety you feel about your appearance. You can successfully cope with and overcome BDD and body dysmorphia by learning coping strategies, finding qualified therapists (psychiatrists and/or psychologists), and using resources like support groups and mental health coaching.

Eva Fisher, PhD has recovered from BDD and is a Mental Health Coach specializing in helping people with body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) and body dysmorphia. She offers mental health coaching, free online support groups, and teaches online workshops and courses designed to help people develop coping skills and find resources so they can overcome BDD symptoms.

Coaching sessions are tailored to each person’s individual needs. They can include help with exposure exercises, mirror management strategies, advice on coping with panic attacks, isolation, shame, depression, relationships, and aging with BDD. Clients who would like to meet for longer sessions may schedule a 45-minute coaching call. Packages of three prepaid (45-minute) sessions are $300 and 6 sessions are $600. Sessions of 1 hour or longer are for existing clients only and need to be scheduled via email.

Coping with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) Courses

Many individuals with BDD and body dysmorphia want to know how to effectively cope with the self-hatred, shame, anxiety, and depression they feel about their appearance. Rituals such as mirror checking/avoidance, camouflaging with makeup and clothing, taking multiple selfies, and asking others for reassurance that they look okay can be immensely time-consuming and debilitating.

The Coping with BDD Courses help people reduce or eliminate their negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and improve their body image. Effective coping strategies include self-care, mindfulness and meditation, dealing with fear and anxiety, and reducing time spent on rituals.

The NEW Coping with BDD online course will start in May 2024. The course has six weekly workshop modules that include group discussions, activities, and ongoing support and coaching.
